  • This workshop will focus on promoting the use of natural materials such as mud in construction, aiming to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and skill development.

Day 1: July 21, 2023

  • 5:00 PM: Arrival and Check-in at Elephant Trails, located in Denkanikottai near Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Introduction Session: Join us for an engaging two-hour session where we will provide a comprehensive overview of the program. We will delve into the concept of Earth Community Build-up and present a detailed roadmap of the session.
  • Night Stay: Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Elephant Trails, surrounded by the serene beauty of the area.

   

Day 2: July 22, 2023

Workshop Sessions:

9:30 AM - 2:30 PM

  • Introduction to Natural Building Techniques: Join us as we explore various natural building techniques, understanding their principles and benefits.
  • Stabilized Earth Buildings by Sagar Reddy, Earth Blocks Pvt Ltd: Learn from expert Sagar Reddy as he shares insights and knowledge about stabilized earth buildings, highlighting their durability and eco-friendly nature.
  • Green Energy Sessions by Niranjan Patil, Lavancha: Discover the world of green energy with Niranjan Patil from Lavancha. Gain valuable insights into renewable energy sources and their significance in sustainable living.
  • Interactive Sessions: Engage in interactive sessions, where you can ask questions, share ideas, and participate in discussions with fellow participants and experts.
  • Lunch: Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch.

         

2:30 PM - 6:30 PM:

  • Mud Building & CSEB Construction Site Visit: Embark on an enlightening visit to a mud building and Compressed Stabilized Earth Block (CSEB) construction site. Witness firsthand the process of constructing sustainable and environmentally friendly structures.
  • Dinner at 8:30 PM: Conclude the day's activities with a scrumptious dinner, providing an opportunity to relax and network with other participants.

DAY 3: July 23, 2023

Morning Session: 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM

  • Responsible, Eco, Rural & Slow Tourism Discussions: Engage in fruitful conversations centered around responsible tourism practices, eco-friendly approaches, rural tourism development, and the benefits of embracing slow tourism. Discover innovative ideas and strategies to promote sustainable tourism.
  • Mud Building: Perspectives, Strategies, Methodologies: Delve into the fascinating world of mud building. Gain valuable insights into different perspectives on mud building, explore effective strategies for its implementation, and learn about various methodologies used in sustainable construction projects.
  • Nature-Based Solutions: Explore the concept of nature-based solutions and their role in addressing environmental challenges. Discuss how incorporating nature into urban planning, architecture, and infrastructure can contribute to sustainability and resilience.

Afternoon Session: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

  • Site Visits: Embark on a series of informative and inspiring site visits. Get a firsthand experience of sustainable practices in action as we visit different locations that showcase exemplary projects and initiatives. Witness the integration of nature-based solutions and sustainable construction techniques in real-world settings.

    

Pricing ( Full Payment to be done while registration)

Without Stay and Transportation - Rs 15,000 per participant 

With Stay on Bed & Room sharing basis & Vegetarian food - Rs 20,000 per participant
